Carl Clement Marx

Carl C. Marx, 75, of Oshkosh, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at his residence. Carl was born on February 19, 1936 in Oshkosh the son of Carl and Elizabeth Elsie Hollaus Marx. He married Patricia Marks on May 11, 1957 at St. Vincent Catholic Church, Oshkosh.Carl was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Parish. He was a steam fitter and owned and operated Marx Heating and A/C Inc. from 1976 to his retirement in 2000. Carl lived to work and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and trap shooting.Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Oshkosh; children, Sally Marx of Oshkosh, Susan (Scott) Zibrat of Arizona, Sandy (John) Schaetz of Oshkosh, Teresa Marx of Oshkosh, Joseph (Kay) Marx of Oshkosh, and Matthew Marx of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Steven Marx, Christopher (Liz Hendricks) Robbins, William Marx, Jaclyn Zibrat, Melanie Zibrat, Andrew Schaetz, Ariel Marx, and Michael Marx. Also surviving are one brother, Leon (Carol) Marx of Arizona; sisters, Betty (Glenn) Rice of North Carolina, Janet (Larry) Schmick of Oshkosh; and a sister-in-law, Marcella Coates of Oshkosh. Preceding Carl in death are his parents, Carl and Elizabeth Elsie Marx; daughter, Sharon Marx; and mother-in law and father-in-law, Edwin and Leona Marks; brother-in-law and wife, LeRoy (Evelyn) Marks; and sister-in-laws husband, Robert Coats.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Parish, St Vincent Church (216 W. South Park Ave.) with Fr. William Van De Kreeke officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
