Carol Jean Buelow

Carol Jean Buelow, 3rd daughter of Marlyn H. and Delores A. (Albright) Buelow, passed away on June 16, 2013, after an 11 year battle with cancer.Carol was born January 2, 1948 in Oshkosh. She was baptized in the Christian Faith. Carol graduated from Oshkosh High School, where she enjoyed her music classes most of all. She was a beauty and that resulted in her trying out for the Miss Oshkosh crown. She won the Miss Oshkosh title in 1969 and competed in the Miss Wisconsin pageant where she placed in the top 10.Carol earned a BS in nursing in 1976 from Elmhurst College in Illinois. She worked at many hospitals and nursing homes over the years.Carol married Bob Magnusen in June 1969 and later Tom Hunter in July 1988. Her marriage to Tom brought her beautiful daughter, Jennifer, into her life.Carol is survived by her daughter, Jennifer A. Buelow, a recent graduate with her Masters Degree from UW-LaCrosse. She is further survived by a sister, Darlene (Michael) Gray, Oshkosh; a brother, David (Susan) Buelow, Avon Park, FL; and a brother, Michael (Mary) Buelow, Green Bay; a niece, Elizabeth; nephews, Matt, Andy, and Ben; cousins; and friends. Preceding her in passing was her dad, mom, and sister, Marnette Tommie Buelow.A time of remembrance will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Dr., on Sunday June 23rd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a funeral service following. In honor of Carols wishes cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.A special thanks to her many doctors and nurses, ThedaCare Hospice, Noonie and Jeannie, who have helped Carol in her battle with cancer. She was a trouper to the end! I will miss you Sister----Dar
