Carol Joanne Langkau

Carol J. Langkau, age 51, of Oshkosh, died Sunday March 31, 2013 in hospice care at her sister Sharons residence. She was born on December 21, 1961 in Oshkosh, a daughter of the late John and Kathryn (McAuly) Vonderloh. On June 7, 1986 she married Mark Langkau in Oshkosh.She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir, was a former Sunday School teacher and Board of Education member. She enjoyed biking and was proud of her completion of Race the Lake 90 mile bike ride in 2011.She is survived by her husband, Mark, her daughter Elizabeth, her mother Kathryn Vonderloh, four brothers John(Penny)Vonderloh of Waupun, David(Debby) Vonderloh of Omro, Mark(Sandy)Vonderloh of Oshkosh, Stuart(Sam Rumoro) Vonderloh of Omro, two sisters Sharon(Scott) Wolff of Omro, Lori Schneider of Omro, her mother-in-law Nancy Langkau of Oshkosh, her sister-in-law Lisa Langkau of Oshkosh, many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, and father-in-law Allan Langkau.Funeral services for Carol will be held on Friday April 5, 2013 at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd LutheranChurch(2450 W. 9th Ave.) with Rev. Roger Erdman officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Funeral services will follow. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.A memorial has been established. Carol was diagnosed with breast cancer in Jan 2012. "For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:6-8The Langkau family would like to thank the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, Aurora VNA, Sharon and Scott for opening their home, and Mary Wolff for her special care.
