Carol L. Knutzen

Carol Knutzen passed away peacefully the morning of August 28, 2022 at the Omro Care Center after an extended illness.  She was 72.

Carol was born on December 7, 1949 to mother Jacqueline Knutzen and father Herbert Knutzen.  Carol has been a life-long resident of Oshkosh, WI.

Carol graduated from Oshkosh High School (now Oshkosh West) in 1969 and was active in choir and music.  Carol loved music and participated in many choirs throughout her lifetime. 

Carol was a kind, loving soul who cared about and touched the lives of many others. It was always her desire to help others more than herself.  Carol so appreciated the many friends, acquaintances and care givers over the years.

Carol is preceded in death by her father (1969), mother (1985) and stepfather Karl Deibert (2004). She is survived by her brother Douglas and sister-in-law Barbara.  She is also survived by her cousin Sally, and second cousins Lynn and Sara.

Visitation for Carol will be at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church (1526 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh) on Thursday, September 1st from 3:00 pm to 5:15 pm.  A Lutheran celebration service will take place in the church from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.  The public is welcome to attend both the visitation and church service.  The family is requesting flowers or plants for the service in lieu of gifts or memorials.

A private service at the cemetery will take place following the church service.

The family wishes to extend its sincere heartfelt thanks to everyone (especially Carol’s caregivers) who, throughout Carol’s life, provided love, joy, laughter, caring and companionship to Carol.
