Carol M. Olejnik, age 87 of Oshkosh, died of a broken heart on December 24, 2020. She was born to the late John Land and Gladys Grant. Carol married Richard Olejnik Sr and their marriage was blessed with eight children, he preceded her in death. Carol later married Raymond Olejnik who also preceded her in death.
Carol was a member at St. Gabriel Parish in Neenah. She worked as a housekeeper at ThedaClark for many years. Carol and Raymond raised their granddaughter, Crystal, after Crystal’s mother, Brenda passed. She loved flowers, birdwatching, baking, and cooking. Her family will especially miss her chicken noodle soup and sought-after potato salad recipe. Carol was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her family. Carol stood as a rock for the family after the early death of her first husband Richard. She was an admirably strong woman. Carol loved glitz, glam, shopping, and interior design.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Deborah (Kenneth) Lewallen, Pamela Shaver, Terry (Pam) Olejnik, Theresa (Jim) Hopp; daughters-in-law, Ann and Jean Olejnik; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack, Gloria (Bill) and Judy (Allen). She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Olejnik; sons, Dick, Brian and Jeff Olejnik; grandson, Thomas Lemke Jr; sister, Helen Sherburn; son-in-law, Gary Shaver.
A private service for Carol will take place.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
