Carol M. Sawyer-Brown, 62 of Oshkosh died Monday November 19, 2007 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI on December 9, 1944 the daughter of Ralph and Beatrice (Fitzgerald) Sawyer. Carol had retired from the City of Oshkosh as a housing rehabilitation specialist. She was a graduate from UW-Oshkosh. Carol was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She had loved theatre and had been involved with the Oshkosh Community Players; Drama Lab; and as a volunteer with the Sunrise Troopers.She is survived by her three sons, Christopher (Paula) Brown, Michael (Kathy) Brown, and Matthew Brown; their father Gerald Brown; three grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Brian Brown, and Trevor Brown, all of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Sawyer, her parents, and her foster parents, Leo and Stella Crowley.A memorial service will be conducted for Carol on Saturday November 24, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Fr. Carl Schmitt officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. A memorial to the Arthritis Foundation has been established. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of the Aurora Medical Center ICU.
