Funeral Services for Caroline Carrie E. Emmrich, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007 at Bethel Home Chapel, the Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. There will be a visitation at 10:00 a.m., preceding the service and a luncheon served in the lower level at Bethel Home, for family and friends following.Carrie Emmrich was born Caroline Edith Walker, the daughter of Emma and Frank Walker, April 17, 1902, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where she lived her entire life. Carrie was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church, where she was baptized, confirmed and married. At her death she was the oldest living member at Peace. On June 29, 1926, Carrie was married to Paul Emmrich who preceded her in death on September 14, 1980 . She is survived by one son Nile (Betty) Emmrich, Neenah, WI and one daughter Carolyn (Don) Fenske, Loveland, Colorado. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Vicki (Roger) Brower Knoxville, TN, Steven (Gaydene) Emmrich, Yorba Linda, CA, Terry (Karen) Emmrich, Madison, Tom (Mary) Emmrich, Charlotte, NC, Jim Fenske, Larry Fenske, and Jeff (Brenda) Fenske all living in Colorado. In addition Carrie is survived by 15 great grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Edith, her parents, two sisters, Agnes Messing and Margaret Rank, and one brother, Carl Walker. At age 15 Carrie worked at Heise Bakery in Oshkosh as a cook and baker preparing meals and baked goods for large numbers. She never gave up her love for preparing big meals and did so for many church affairs. She also worked for several years in the kitchen at Oshkosh High School. At age 85 she was still taking fruit to the old people at Parkview Health Center, receiving a commendation from Parkview for her many years of service.Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, in the Chapel at Bethel Home, 225 N. Eagle St., in Oshkosh. Carries home for the last 20 years.—The Rev Martin Ruge officiating. Visitation 10 am to 11am, preceding the service at 11:00. A luncheon will be served in the basement of Bethel Home after the service for family and friends. Memorials to Carrie can be directed to Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, and Bethel Home in Oshkosh. The Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
