Caroline Lou Helm

Caroline L. Helm age 68 of Oshkosh passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Bellavista. She was born in Oshkosh on March 4, 1944, a daughter of the late Donald and Violet Ahlswede Helm.Caroline graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1962 and received her BS Degree from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh in 1966. She retired as a Flight Attendant with American Airlines. Caroline was a member of First English Lutheran Church. She enjoyed the arts and attending performances at the Grand Opera House, had a love for ballroom dancing, folk dancing and was an accomplished amateur photographer. Caroline had a decorative skill, was very creative, imaginative and had a sense of beauty. She loved nature and flowers.She is survived by a sister Lois (Norman) Abitz of Fond du Lac; nephew Jay (Mary) Callies of Oshkosh; uncle Arthur (Judy) Helm of Oshkosh; cousins and three very special friends, Gary Hanks of Appleton; Karen Rehwinkel Mantei of Littleton, CO and Cheryl Huber of Oshkosh.Private family services were conducted by Rev. Martin Ruge with interment at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the Grand Opera House, or sent to Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 78 Oshkosh, WI 54903.
