Charles Belkin Kation

June 21, 1938 — November 6, 2006

Charles B. Kation, 68, of Oshkosh died Monday November 6, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. Charles was born June 21, 1938 in Chicago, IL; a son of Emmanuel and Francis Kation. He married Myra Greiner on July 8, 1995 at Scott Park in Omro. Charles served his country in the US Army and retired from the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He worked for Pluswood Industries as a tow motor driver. He enjoyed camping, motorcycles, playing cards, watching western and Three Stooges movies. He is survived by his wife, Myra, three sons, Charles Jr of Shawano, Steve of Oshkosh, and Scott (Charity) of Butte des Morts, two daughters, Cindy Kation of Shawano, and Dawn (Jim) Deiga of Omro, step-children, Angela Merritt of Federal Heights, CO, Amy (Steve) Grunske, Stephen Merritt, and Todd Merritt of Oshkosh, one brother, Leroy (Slyvia) Kation of Oshkosh; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary Ann (Kation) Hoeft. A Mass of Christian burial for Charles will be held on Friday November 10, 2006 at 11:00 am at St Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church (830 S Westhaven Dr) with Fr. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, and again on Friday at the church beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park with full military honors. Charles will be sadly missed by his family and friends.His family would like to thank Dr. Hannon, Dr. Foley, and the ICU nursing staff at Mercy Medical Center, for all their care and support.
