Charles H. Green II, 80 of Oshkosh, died Friday April 9, 2010 at the Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Gary, IN on August 21, 1929 son of Charles and Jessie Kirk Green. On March 15, 1952 he married Beverly Kentop in Dubuque, IA.Charles had been a State Farm Insurance Agent in Omro for many years. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1947. He served his country in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He was a past Exalted Ruler and current treasurer of the Oshkosh Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. 292; he was a past Elks State President; he served as past president of the Oshkosh Jaycees; past president of United Cerebral Palsy on which he was a board member for 10 years; Past President of Oshkosh Philatelic Society and current treasurer of the Wisconsin State Philatelic Society; previous mentor for the Winnebago County Literacy Council; former little league coach.Charles is survived by his wife, Beverly Green of Oshkosh; sons, Charles Green III of Oshkosh, and Kelly (Robin) Green of Grafton, WI; daughters, Holly (John) Davidson of Reston, VA, and Robin (David) Grable of Neenah, WI; sister, Edith (Robert) Dexter of Monticello, IN; nine grandchildren, Zachary Davidson of Ft. Carson, CO, Ethan, and Emily Davidson of Reston, VA, Sofie Green and Alissa Nyland of Grafton, WI, Danielle, Stuart, Daryl and Stevie Grable, all of Neenah and two great grand sons Adam and Luke Dorrow of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Karen Dorrow.A memorial service for Charles will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside (100 Lake Pointe Drive) with the Rev. Kemp Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to the service time with an Elk's Service to be held at 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Elk's Lodge 292 Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.
