Cheryl Spalding

Cheryl J. Spalding, 61 of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly on Sunday June 22, 2008. She was born in Oshkosh on November 23, 1946 daughter of Alvin and Jane Esslinger Fauk. On April 15, 1967 she married Ronald Spalding in Oshkosh.Cheryl had been employed by the Evco Plastics Co. for 22 years and had worked seasonally at Miles Kimball Co. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and belonged to the Oshkosh Choraliers and the church choir.Cheryl is survived by her husband, Ronald Spalding of Oshkosh; son, Mark (Melissa) Spalding of Oshkosh; daughter, Deb (Jason) Salzwedel of Green Bay; her mother, Jane Fauk of Oshkosh; brothers, William (Jan) Fauk of Omro, and Tom (Patty) Fauk of Oshkosh; sisters, Christine (Chuck) Esselman of Oshkosh, and Judith (Dave) Ludwig of Tempe, AZ; two grandchildren, Taylor and Jackson Salzwedel of Green Bay; aunts, Lois Beske, June Backus, and Betty Lou (Charles) Carter all of Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Fauk in 2004; aunts, uncles, and a cousin.Her funeral will be on Thursday June 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. A memorial to the American Diabetes Foundation has been established.
