Chester Herman Anderson

Chester H. Anderson, 93 of Oshkosh, died Saturday April 30, 2011 at his home. He was born in Oshkosh on December 26, 1917 son of Andrew and Isabella Anderson. On October 6, 1956 he married Noryne Abraham in Oshkosh.Chester was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served as a cartographer in Southeast Asia during World War II. He was a member of St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church and the mens choir. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Noryne Anderson of Oshkosh; brother, Leonard (Violet) Anderson of Great Falls, WI; nieces and nephews; and adopted niece and nephew, Cathy and Dennis Puhl. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Irving, Oliver, and Edmund; and six sisters, Selma, Myrtle, Florence, Winifred, Laura, and Aleda.His funeral will be on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Rev. Thomas Koenig officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Memorials will be gladly accepted for the Fields of Honor Veterans Museum or to St. Johns Ev.
