Connie L. Schraven, 40, passed away Tuesday morning November 27, 2018 with her family by her side. Connie was born in Florida and moved to Oshkosh soon after. She met and married the love of her life, Darcy Schraven on December 3, 2009. The two of them bought and operated Uncle Don’s Tavern in 2014, and Connie enjoyed every part of being a business owner. But her true pride and joy came from being a mother. Connie surrounded her son with opportunities that every child could dream of: going to baseball games, playing sports, and yearly trips to the Mall of America.
Connie also enjoyed motorcycling and “camping”, which involved sleeping in a hard-sided camper on a real mattress. She saw many fun times at the state and city wide tournaments throwing darts, where she formed many lasting relationships. Connie will be missed by all!
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Darcy; son, Xander; step-children: Courtney (Wes) Whitty, Zachary (Tetia) Schraven, Brittany Blumke and Shayla Schraven; grandchildren: Haley Schraven, Andrew Schraven , Sophie Whitty, Damien Whitty; her mother, Lynn Gibson; a sister, Mara (Dan) Wegner; step-brothers: Jeff and Tim Gibson; mother-in-law, Chris Jacob; brothers-in-law: Randy (Lisa) and Brian (Chantelle) Schraven; a sister-in-law, Krystal Jacob; an uncle, Richard Vicker; nephews: Bryce and Seth Wegner and Brandon Schraven; a niece, Hannah Schraven; best friend, Kelly Boening; very special friend, Denise Gruse.
She was preceded in death by her father Peter Gibson, her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William Vicker; father-in-law, Kenneth Jacob; and Darcy’s uncle, Donald Schraven.
