Corabel Ann Wokosin

Corabel Ann (Fuller)Wokosin, age 73 of Oshkosh, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 14, 1937 in Waupun, WI the daughter of Doyle D. and Cora B. (Scaggs) Fuller. She was preceded death by her parents, and infant brother Thomas. She is survived by a son, Robert (friend Jill), Oshkosh; two grandsons, US Navy Matthew (wife Nule) Jacksonville, FL and Jeremy, Oshkosh and her former husband Ed Wokosin; her sister, Mary Jane (Charles) Day; brother, Philip all of Fond du Lac; nieces and cousins.Corabel was very active at her church, in the community and visited nursing homes. She was always there to lend a helping hand. She worked at the Food Pantry once a week at Emmanuel United Church of Christ. Volunteered and helped organize Casa Cara. She was involved in researching her family genealogy. Corabel graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1955. While attending school she worked at the telephone company nights and weekends. After graduation she then moved to Oshkosh and continued working at the phone company and retired after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Corabel also worked at the EAA and retired from there in 2009 but continued to help for the fly-in. She never drove by a rummage sale sign without stopping and she loved to travel the back roads.A memorial service for Corabel will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel United Church of Christ (1306 Michigan Street-Oshkosh) with Rev. Andi Wolf officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the service time.
