Dale LeRoy Ferguson

Dale LeRoy Ferguson, age 82, passed away on November 2, 2024. He was born on January 14, 1942 in Oshkosh to the late Dale Myron and Ann Marie (Mueller) Ferguson. Dale was united in marriage to Judy Becker on December 28,1968 at Peace Lutheran Church, and together raised one daughter, Carrie.

Dale graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1960, and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He graduated in 1971 with a major in math and a minor in physics. After proudly serving his country in the United States Navy as an electronic technician, Dale embarked on a successful career. Starting at Bergstrom Paper Company and later transitioning to Kimberly Clark, Dale spent a combined 27 years showcasing his precise and thorough engineering skills.

Dale’s passion for music ranged from Tschaikowsky to Simon and Garfunkel. He was so happy when he got to hear Art Garfunkel in a live concert. He also attended many other concerts with Judy and Carrie. Dale's connection to the sea began during his time serving in the Navy, where he developed a deep appreciation for the vast expanse of the ocean. Even after his service, his love for the sea never waned, as he found solace and adventure in the gentle rhythm of waves while cruising the open waters with Judy.

Dale is lovingly survived by his wife, Judy Ferguson; daughter, Carrie Ferguson; brother, Dennis (Sandi) Ferguson; sister, Susan Baugher; in-laws, Bob and Cindy Becker, and Nancy Becker Nagan. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents.

Private entombment took place at Lake View Memorial Park, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

As we mourn the loss of Dale, we extend our deepest gratitude to the nurses and CNAs, who provided him with exceptional care and comfort during his final days.
