Daniel A. Jindra, age 74, passed away on April 12, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on August 26, 1934 in Manitowoc, son of Leo and Irene (Buenzow) Jindra. On May 2, 1964 he married Annette Lynn at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in West Allis.Daniel graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, attended UW-Oshkosh, playing basketball and graduated from UW-Milwaukee. He served his country in the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood and Fort Lewis.Dan was a District Manager in the Sales Dept. in Ohio and Wisconsin for the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company for 15 years before being medically retired in 1974. He fought Multiple Sclerosis for over 44 years, to the best of his ability, never complaining about his situation and he always had a smile on his face. Dan and Annette resided in Brookfield, WI for 30 years before moving to Oshkosh in 2003. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren, boating and visiting with his friends at his favorite haunts.He is survived by his wife Annette; daughters, Molly (Carl) Westlund of Phoenix, AZ, Karen (Michael) Anderson of Sussex, WI and Sarah (Nicholas) Bannon of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Brittany and Carl Westlund, Michael, Matthew and Mitchell Anderson, Joshua and Mia Bannon and other relatives and friends.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Jason Blahnik officiating. Visitation for family and friends begins at 1 p.m. Interment will be privately held at the Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove on Thursday.Dans family would like to extend a special thank you to the Nurses at the VA Hospital, at Omro Care Center and Dr. Beckett and the Nursing staff and sign language interpreters at Mercy Medical Center for their kind and concerned care.
