Daniel Bardes Scott

Daniel B. Scott, 83, of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Evergreen. Daniel was born in Fond du Lac on August 17, 1928, the son of the late Julian and Gertrude (Bardes) Scott. On September 18, 1954 he married Rita J. Eberhardy in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on Dec. 1, 2009.Daniel was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish - St. Peter Church. He was a Master Gardener, Optimist Club member, Otter Street Fishing Club member, and former chairman of the Home Show.Survivors include his children, Daniel Scott of Oshkosh, Philip (Debra) Scott of Shiocton, Julia (Troy) Miller of Whitehouse, TX, and Andrew (Lisa) Scott of Stevens Point; six grandchildren, Dalton, Cody, Cassie, Alexa, Kyle, and Mirra Scott; and his God daughter Kathie Brandt. He was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Nora & Sid Keyes.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on, Saturday January 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church (830 S. Westhaven Dr.), Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr.) on Friday, January 20, 2012, from 5- 8 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Town of Poygan. A memorial is being established to the Lourdes High School, Oshkosh Area Humane Society, American Lung Association, and THERAPET (www.therapet.org). If an arrangement is to be sent, live plants would be kindly preferred.
