Daniel J. Carlson

Daniel J. Carlson, age 62, passed away at his residence in Redgranite, WI surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 26, 2022. He was born to the late Virgil and Marilyn (Oldenburg) Carlson on January 5, 1960, in Racine, WI. Dan married Susan Cerutti on February 26, 1983, at First United Methodist Church in Oshkosh. He worked as a machine operator at Essity in Neenah/Menasha for many years, just recently retiring. Dan loved to ride his motorcycle and he loved to go camping with his family. He enjoyed tinkering with things and trying to fix them and didn’t like to sit still; while working on fixing things he liked to listen to music especially bands like AC/DC, Metallica, and Ozzy Osbourne. He especially loved traveling the country with Susan.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Susan; two children, Travis, and Tanya; granddaughter, Zoe Gall; sisters, Sandy (Thomas) Skinner, and Edie Oldenburg. In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Carlson.
A service for Dan will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes East side (402 Waugoo Ave.) on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 1 PM. A visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Weston Radford and Dr. Michael Hansen, Thedacare in Berlin, as well as Thedacare hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Dan.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ALS Association in Dan’s name.
