Darleen Joyce Esther Hoehne-Schwebke

Darleen Joyce Esther Pedie Hoehne Schwebke, age 80, passed away comfortably at her residence on Sunday, January 26, 2014. She was born on October 2, 1933 in Oshkosh to the late Arthur and Erma (Dorn) Hoehne.Darleen graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1952; however she went to Winneconne the first ten years of school and continued to attend Winneconne class reunions. From there she went on to be a partaker in many different jobs. She was a bookkeeper at Economy Foods, Wisconsin National Life Insurance, and HC Reinitz Co. She was a hostess at Colins truck stop and also worked seasonally at Miles Kimball.Through out life she enjoyed being a Packer fan and talking about her childhood out on Lake Poygan and her over extended trip that her daughter took her on to Hawaii. In the earlier years, Darleen liked to go camping, bowling, and golfing. In her later years, she enjoyed watching wrestling and working on her plastic canvas sewing and her coloring books.Darleen is survived by her son Keith Schwebke, daughter Debra Schwebke, her ex-husband and close friend Marvin Schwebke, and nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Buddy Hoehne, sisters Dorothy (Roland) Smith and Audrey (Bobby) Remmel, nieces Annette Smith and Kathy Remmel-Dayton, and a nephew Ken Smith.A funeral service for Darleen will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Lake View Memorial Park (2786 Algoma Blvd). Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.The family would like to thank Sherry Annis, Brenda Lyons, Dr. Eric Duwell, and Dr. Jack Tisinai for the care they gave Darleen over the years. Jean Boldig and her hospice team for making life at home comfortable toward the end. A special thank you goes to Brian Yonke for his weekly visit, his compassionate care, and their mutual love of the Packers. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
