Darwin R. Fleck

Darwin R. Fleck, age 72 of Oshkosh, passed away at Meadowbrook at Appleton on Sunday, February 19, 2023. He was born in Oshkosh on October 1, 1950 to the late William and Jeanette (Ravy) Fleck.

Darwin served in the United States Army.

Earlier in Darwin’s life, he enjoyed boating and traveling the state to ride on the best snowmobile and four-wheeler trails. Darwin was a generous man who made sure others were taken care of before taking care of himself. He had a deep appreciation for Native American culture. Darwin was a movie buff who watched and collected countless movies throughout his life.

Darwin is survived by his children: Brenda (Steven) Mueller, Bryan Fleck, Becky (Mike Engstrom) Fleck and Gabriel Fleck; grandson: Drake Hansen; brothers: William “Bill” (Barbara) Fleck, Gary (Fran) Fleck, Dennis (Judy) Fleck. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Darwin was preceded in death by his brother, Charles (Cora) Fleck; infant brother: Jay Fleck; one niece and one nephew.

A memorial service for Darwin will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Inurnment will be held at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
