David C. Volkman

David C. Barley Volkman, age 67, of Black Wolf passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born on January 31, 1948 in Oshkosh the son of Carl and June (Raddatz) Volkman. He was united in marriage to Yvonne Retelle on August 2, 1969 in Oshkosh. Their marriage was blessed with two children. David worked for Sears for over 30 years on small engine repair. He was a member at Bethany United Church of Christ. David enjoyed working on small engines at home, hunting and fishing.He is survived by his wife, Yvonne of 46 years, son, Tim Volkman both of Oshkosh, daughter, Angela Volkman of Waukesha, mother, June Volkman, brother, Steve Volkman of Iowa, one brother-in-law, David (Jeannie) Retelle, and three sisters-in-law, Jan Retelle (Beth), Diane Ratzburg and Lisa Andrews. He is further survived by numerous cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father.Funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Bethany United Church of Christ, 145 W. 24th Ave., with Pastor Daniel Schultz officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Lake View Memorial Park.
