David John Casper, age 32, passed away on March 19, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on October 17, 1984 the beloved son of Steven and Karen Gahr Casper.
He attended Oshkosh North High School and received his degree in Small Engine Repair from Fox Valley Technical College. He was currently employed at Caraustar in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
His sons brought him the greatest joy in his life. Dave was always there to lend a helping hand. His expressive eyes and smile would light up a room. Landscaping, fishing, woodworking, weightlifting, bodybuilding, and tinkering with small engines were some of his favorite hobbies.
He is survived by his two sons, Landon and Declan Casper, his parents, one sister, Dr. Bonnie (James) Harder, his maternal grandmother, Loretta Gahr, his special “Aunie” Linda and Uncle Gary Block, special cousins, Laura (Jason Suleski) Block, and Lisa (Dennis) Sokel and great niece Paige Sokel, Fiancée Tonya Rousseau, very special friend Ashley Cowling, and other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Gahr, John Casper and Shirley Casper.
A memorial service for David will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Noon at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes - Westside. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established for his son’s education.
