David Dave L. Schroeder, age 84, of Oshkosh peacefully passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, at Park View Health Center surrounded by his family. He was born on July 23, 1930, to Edward and Marie (Duescher) Schroeder. He married Dorothy Knutson on July 18, 1953, in Fond du Lac, WI.Dave graduated from Oshkosh High School and took an apprentice course in pattern making. He used his course work by becoming a pattern maker/engineer at Universal and Berlin Foundries.He enjoyed fishing, biking, camping, golfing, cross country skiing, wood working, and hunting. Dave loved watching his children and grandchildren in all sports events.Dave is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Pucci and Kathleen (Wayne) Krueger; sons, Gary (Lisa) and Daniel (Julie) Schroeder; sisters, Arline Hoeft, Shirley (Gordy) Roeder, Joyce (Willie) Krepline, and Grace (Carl) Strum; brothers, Robert (Colleen) Schroeder, and John (Bonnie) Schroeder; sisters in law, Donna Hess and Helen Favour-Bryant; eleven grandchildren, Paul (Meredith) Pucci, Eric (Amy) Schroeder, Michelle (Joel) Zak, Matthew (Tanya) Schroeder, Mark (Leah) Pucci, Emily, Stefanie, Michael, and David Schroeder, and Megan and Riley Krueger; and eleven great grandchildren, Brianna, Makayla, and Dylan Schroeder, Jackson, Samuel, and Anna Pucci, Lydia and Jonathan Zak, Kyle and Allison Schroeder, and Maxwell Pucci.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Leichtfuss, Delores Reckelberg, Catherine Schaefer, and Alvina Stadler; sister in law, Dorothy Schroeder; brothers, Clarence, Richard, and infant brother Jerry Schroeder; and brothers in law, Ralph Hoeft, Alex Hess, Walter Farvour, and Chuck Schaefer.A funeral service will be held for Dave at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church (913 Nebraska St.) with Rev. Jeffrey Duquaine officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Ledge View Memorial Park, Fond du Lac, WI.In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, and to the Alzheimers Association.The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Park View Health Center for their kind and loving care they provided for Dave.
