David Paul Brearley of Oshkosh passed away November 24, 2017 at home, with his family by his side after 72 years on earth. He was born in Milwaukee, WI to Helen (Ward) and the late Ronald Brearley. He was a man of integrity, faith, and strong values with love for his family. He was a devout husband for 52 loving years. David drove semi for 40 years before he climbed out of a big rig and called it time for retirement. During his time as a semi driver he was also a foster parent for 30 years and was a committed volunteer to his church community. In retirement he enjoyed fishing and plowing pennies from heaven (snow).
He is survived by his wife, Jennice Brearley; mother, Helen Brearley; children, Terri (John) Morth, Todd (Terri) Brearley, Tamie Childers, Tuesday (Philip) Grundy, Tina (Eric) Nygaard, Lucas, Taylor, and Maiha; sister, Sherry Brearley; and niece, Sara Pavlak. He was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Brearley; grandfather, Albert Brearley; and great-granddaughters, Chloe Behnke and Elise Morth.
Visitation is welcomed from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with service to follow at Sunnyview Christian Church, 175 E County Rd Y, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in his name.
