David Wachholz

David Charlie Wachholz, age 59, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015. He was born on February 22, 1956 the son of the Herbert and Corrine (Strohschein) Wachholz. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1974 and furthered his education at MATC- Milwaukee graduating in 1979, for funeral service. He was very proud to be able to work with his family: his father, brother and later his daughters. He always enjoyed being active in the community. He was an avid outdoorsman; hunting, fishing, and wildlife watching. Dave was very active in many conservation organizations some including: Mackford Prairie DU, Ripon DU and the WI Bowhunters Association. He enjoyed shooting trap league at Ripon and Manchester. Dave proudly served the Markesan area as a member of the Markesan Fire Department. He was a former member at St. Johns Lutheran Church.Dave is survived by his three daughters: Carissa (Kurt) Ewald of Ripon, Alyssa (Brian) Nelson of Appleton, and Melissa Wachholz of Fond du Lac, and their Mother Gianna (Paul) Ehlert of Fond du Lac, two grandchildren: Ellie and Quinn Ewald of Ripon, one brother, Daniel (Stephanie) Wachholz of Green Bay, one sister, Sara (Dick) Ruhl of Princeton, and one aunt, Carol Hanson of Milwaukee. Dave was preceded in death by parents and grandparents.Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, with Rev. John Worzala-Dumke officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will take place at Grand View Cemetery in Marquette, Wisconsin, where he loved to watch the ducks fly in.
