Dawn Marie Hemauer

Dawn Marie Hemauer (nee DeDominces) at age 69, passed peacefully into eternal life Tuesday March 28, 2023 surrounded by loving family at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, WI.

Born on September 17, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI , Dawn attended Saint Mary Catholic grade school, and later graduated from Menominee Falls North High School in 1971. Dawn continued her education obtaining her Diploma in Nursing in 1974 through Mercy Medical School of Nursing in Oshkosh.

Dawn enjoyed her nursing career in Oshkosh for 38 years. She was employed by Mercy Medical Center hospital as an operating room nurse and later in her career worked in the ambulatory surgery setting.

As a young girl, Dawn enjoyed Girls Scouts, roller skating, playing piano, and baton twirling. After college she played for the Jabbers softball team in Oshkosh and was also an avid golfer, a pastime she enjoyed with both her sons. Dawn was well loved for her cute sense of humor and friendly demeanor. Her love for family was immeasurable. She is preceded in death by her father, Gary DeDominces, and mother, Marlene Joyce DeDominces (nee Spangenberg). She is survived by her sisters Denise DeDominces (Mark Dobner) and Donna (Dan) Brantmeier. She was the loving mother of Kevin (Whitney) Hemauer and John Hemauer. Dawn was the proud grandmother of Josephine, who was her sunshine. She is also survived by her three nieces, Melissa, Nichole, and Natalie, her two nephews Tony and Tom, and great nieces and nephews.

Dawn will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

Her family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the caring staff at Bethel Home who helped ensure peace and comfort in her last days with us.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
