Deborah L. Thompson

Deborah L. Thompson, 57, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Century Oaks-Phyllis Elaine House in Neenah after a courageous battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. She was born in Madison, WI on January 22, 1950 to Lowell and Dolores (Slotten) Hanson.Deb was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Early in her career, she was employed as an elementary education teacher. Later, she used her excellent skills as a legal secretary. Deb was sustained by her faith, her love of life and family, and especially by the care and devotion of her daughter, Lindsey.Deb is survived by her daughter, Lindsey Thompson of Neenah; her parents, Lowell and Dolores Hanson of Verona; and by her siblings, Janet (Steve) Narveson of Hayward, Barb (Tom) Secor of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jim (Cheryl) Hanson, Diane (Duane) Haag, Bob (Kari) Hanson and Ann (John) Wyss, all of Mt. Horeb, as well as by twelve nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.Two memorial services will be held, one in Oshkosh and one in Mt. Horeb. The Oshkosh memorial service will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 4:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside (Lake Pointe Drive) with Pastor Marvin Ahlborn officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 PM. The Mt. Horeb service will be conducted at Springdale Lutheran Church at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2007 with Pastor Jeff Jacobs officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 2-4 PM. Inurnment will follow in the Springdale Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of the Phyllis Elaine House and all of the doctors and nurses who cared for Deb during her illness.
