Delores Ann Thompson

Delores A. Thompson, 70, of Oshkosh, died Monday June 5, 2005 at her residence. She was born December 9, 1935, a daughter of Ben and Francis Omernik. Delores married Charles Thompson on December 12, 1964 in Appleton.Delores worked for Kmart for 26 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of St Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church; she enjoyed shopping, going to craft shows, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband, Charles, a son, Todd (Kristl) of Oshkosh, daughter, Dawn (Bill) Oaks of Omro, one brother, Ernie (Jean) Omernik of New London, two sisters, Irene (Chester) Strosin of Hatley, and Angline Alberts of Rosholt; she is further survived by three grandchildren, Cody Kienast, Ryan Delap, Cali Thompson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Felix, and two sisters, Alice and Evelyn Omernik.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday June 8, 2006 at 1:00 pm at St Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church (830 S Westhaven Dr) with Fr. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday beginning at 9:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Aurora Hospice (650 Doctors Ct, Oshkosh, WI. 54901).Deloress family would like to thank Dr. Dar and the nursing staff at Aurora, Aurora Hospice, and the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center for all their care and compassion.
