Delores Mae Durkee

Delores M. Durkee, age 74, of Oshkosh, died Saturday October 13, 2018 at Edenbrook. She was born on July 2, 1944 in Green Bay. She was raised in Oconto and graduated from Oconto High School. In 1969 she moved to Oshkosh and on June 30, 1973 she married Howard Durkee at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Main St.
She attended Fox Valley Technical College and UW-Oshkosh. She enjoyed all forms of artwork including paints, chalks, and oil, along with working with yarn and making blankets but her favorite passion was flowers. She enjoyed politics and ran for several city and county positions in her lifetime and enjoyed attending City Council meetings. In her life she took great pride in being one of the Points of Light and Acts of Kindness.
She is survived by her husband Howard, her children Michael and Sara, her step-children Ginny, Maggie, Debbie, Ann, Howie Joe, numerous grandchildren and two brothers Norbert and Robert.
She was preceded in death by her father, and one sister Nancy.
A memorial service for Delores will be held on Thursday October 18, 2018 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
