Dennis T Diemel was called home on May 6th 2014. He is with his Lord and Saviorpraising Him for all Eternity. Dennis was surrounded by his family at his passing. We will miss him for a time but know we will see him again in Gods timing. Dennis arrived on earth June 4th 1943 to Glenn T Diemel and Mavis (Hardel) Diemel Morgan. Dennis lived in Oshkosh all his life. Graduating from Oshkosh high school. He married the love of his life Lynn (Spaulding ) Diemel on Feb. 5th 1966. Lynn went to Heaven May 24th 2012. Dennis worked at Victrolite Candles, Ed Chase roofing, Pluswood and for 36 1/2 yrs for the Oshkosh school system. He enjoyed his yrs there making many friends. Dennis played Santa for many years to clubs, daycares and private homes .Dennis blessed many being a secret Santa. He and his wife Lynn also opened there home to adult foster care blessing many who entered their home. Dennis enjoyed in his spare time to fish and hunt with his son. He enjoyed making his own fishing lures. He loved to watch a packer game or spend the weekend camping with family and friends . Dennis traveled many places with his family, but the real passion of Dennis life was to serve Jesus in all he did. Telling of Gods love for them and how to start a relationship with Jesus. Loving his family being the Godly man created to lead his family. Dennis was known for always having a great joke to brighten anyones day. He and Lynn loved to go out to breakfast or dinner and most times had others tag along. They loved their care group, and one of the most favorite ways to serve was to help with the missionaries that came for EAA. Dennis and Lynn would house pilots, help serve meals, drive to other airports to pick up or drop off pilots. Dennis served at Plymouth Congregational Church for many years as a deacon, helping with the Awana's kids, preformed in plays, did cardboard testimonies. Wherever needed he would lend a hand. Dennis and Lynn's 25th wedding anniversary was their first mission's trip to Honduras, where they built a church.Dennis leaves behind his children, Debbie (Bob) Johnson of Berlin and Mark Diemel; grandchildren, Katie and Jennie Nichols, Dylan and Sydnie Johnson; brother Roger (Rose) Diemel; sister, Susan (Mark) Goodacre; nieces and nephews; and extended family.Visitation for Dennis will be 9:30 to 11:30am on Monday May 12th 2014 at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1325 Georgia St. Oshkosh, with a celebration of his life at 11:30am. Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
