Dennis Herbert Neitzel

Dennis H. Diz Neitzel, 70, of Oshkosh, died peacefully with family by his side on August 14, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer, at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on March 15, 1945, son of the late Robert and Lydia (Mellentine) Neitzel. Dennis married Sue A. Stahl on November 8, 1969, enjoying 45 wonderful years together.Diz graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1963. He was the produce manager at Red Owl, County Market and Cub Foods for a combined 37 years. Dennis played softball for Oregon Clothing and Tommys Angels. He loved sports in general and was an avid Packer Fan. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandkids, the loves of his life.Diz is survived by his wife, Sue; son, Jason (Andrea) Neitzel; daughter Shelley (Dan) Dedering; three grandchildren, Jacob and Jordyn Dedering and Berkeley Neitzel ; twin brother, Doug (Jean) Neitzel; brother-in-law, Duane (Laurelee) Peppler; many nieces, nephews and countless wonderful friends.Diz was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Neitzel, Jr.; sisters, Sandra Neitzel and Betty Peppler; uncle, Elder Mellentine; aunt, Dorothy Mellentine.Funeral Services for Dennis will be at 11:00 am on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Emmanuel UCC, 1306 Michigan Street with Rev. Andi Wolf officiating. Friends and family may visit at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-westside on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 3-7 p.m. and at church on Monday from 9:00 am until time of service. In honor of Dizs love for the Packers, please wear your Packers gear!In Lieu of flowers, memorials will be made to various organizations that mean a lot to Dennis.A special thank you to the Fresenius Dialysis Center, Dr. Gremminger, and Staff at the Wachtel Oncology Center, and the nurses at Mercy Medical Center for their wonderful care of Diz.
