Dennis M. Hartmann

Dennis M. Hartmann, 78, Oshkosh, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 7, 2017. Dennis was born December 27, 1938, in Oshkosh, the son of Clarence and Audrey (Wille) Hartmann. He married Ila Zemke, and later Marsha Bedore, both of who preceded him in death. Dennis was employed with Mercury Marine for 35 years prior to his retirement. He owned and operated Big Daddy’s and later Den Again, both in Oshkosh. Dennis enjoyed collecting guns, going to gun shows, small trains, snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of a cribbage league and enjoyed racing his green Super Bee at KK, now WIR.
Dennis is survived by his children: Michael (Julie) Hartmann, Neenah, and Michelle (Thomas) Pavlak, Oshkosh; 3 grandchildren: Jacob, Jesse, and Courtney; a great grandson, George; a sister, Vicki Garthwaite, Fond du Lac; and a nephew, Todd Stevens.
In addition to his two wives, Dennis was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law, Cindy Stevens, and recently aunt and uncle Leatrice “Lee” and Fritz Stieben.
There will be no formal services, but a time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Avenue, Oshkosh. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to Oshkosh Humane Society.
