Dolores A. Spanbauer, age 74, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 25th, 2007 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born in Pisek, North Dakota on September 14, 1932, the daughter of Lawrence J. & Gertrude SeidI (Ullman). Dolores attended St. Vincent School and graduated from Oshkosh High School. Dolores was a life-long member of St. Peters Parish. Dolores married Richard J. Spanbsuer on March 14, 1953. She is survived by Children: Thomas Spanbauer (Lonni), Patricia Wesner (Teryl), Susan Spanbauer, Steven Spanbauer (Kay Beulen), Brian Spanbauer, all of Oshkosh, WI; Grandchildren: Lisa Spanbauer (Rick Nemecek), Oshkosh, WI; Maggie Fenn, San Diego, CA; Jared Spanbauer, Rachel Spanbauer, Payton Spanbauer, Reid Spanbauer, all of Oshkosh, WI; Great Grandchild: Joshua Nemecek, Oshkosh, WI; Brothers: David Seidl (Lois), Oshkosh, WI; Dennis Seidl (Margie), Dayton, OH; Brother-in-Law: John Spanbauer, Oshkosh, WI, Sister-in-Law: Barb Spanbauer, Oshkosh, WI. She is further survived by extended family members, Laura Todd (Bill Kienast), former husband Richard J. Spanbauer, former daughter-in-law Brenda Lyons, as well as her close friends Mary Ellen Gaab, Bea Netzer, and Tess Sphatt; all of Oshkosh. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and son Gerald in 1977. Early in life, Dolores worked at the Star Theatre in Oshkosh owned by her parents and Mikes Grill in Oshkosh. Dolores devoted her time to raising her children. She later worked as a Home Companion for VNA/Supportive Home Care and was a dedicated volunteer at Father Carrs Place 2 Be and St. Vincent de Paul. Dolores participated in many activities at St. Peters Parish including St, Peters Auxiliary, Aquinas Club, and Birthday Club. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by special friends: Father Martin P. Carr and Monsignor Paul Koszarek at St. Peter Catholic Church in Oshkosh on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends may call at the Konrad Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to the service time. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 PM. A memorial will be established.Her family would like to extend great thanks and appreciation for the care and kindness of Aurora Medical Center ER, ICU and wound clinic staff including Dr. Rebekah Schroeder, Dr. G. Subramani, Dr. Edward Lake, Dr. Stephen Wilson and Dr. Denise Prehn. A special thanks as well to the Oshkosh Fire Rescue & Police Department.Dolores will forever remain in our hearts and be remembered for her commitment to making a difference in others lives, whether a smile,a touch, a listening ear, words of kindness, or the warm embrace of a hug.Hugs Always!
