Dolores Dorothy Knecht

Dolores Dorothy Knecht, age 89, passed away on April 13, 2014 at Evergreen Manor. She was born on April 8, 1925 to Carl and Theresa (Baier) Hamann. At a young age she was adopted by Arthur and Anna (Drumm) Stearns.Dolores worked at the Oshkosh Tannery and Dunphy Boats. She retired from the Winnebago State Hospital as manager of the laundry after twenty years.Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, sewing, bowling, playing sheepshead, gambling, and traveling..She is survived by her three daughters, Judy Reischl-Hollis, Sharon Rates-Jones, and Bonnie (John) Rates-Lynch; two step-sons, Jim (Mary Ellen) Knecht and Dick (Irene) Knecht; fourteen grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Adolf; both sets of parents; two brothers; and two sisters. A visitation will be held for Dolores from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- Eastside.
