Dona Shelp

Dona J. Shelp, 84, of Oshkosh, formerly of Janesville, died on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Century Oaks. She was born on August 31, 1929 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Foster and Phyllis Hazelton Letts. On June 1, 1950 she married John C. Shelp in Des Moines, Iowa. John preceded her in death on June 6, 2013.Dona enjoyed her work at the Janesville School District, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family at the cottage on Lake Butte Des Morts. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah (John) Anderson of Oshkosh; sons, Phil (Karen) Shelp of Discovery Bay, CA, Gary Shelp of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Lindsey, Ryan, Cory and Kyle Shelp, Emily (Greg) Collins, Kristin, James and Justin Anderson; and great grandchildren, Hope and Ellie Collins; one sister, Persis Stoneberg. Dona was preceded in death by her husband, John, a daughter-in-law, Linda Shelp and a brother, Jack Letts.A funeral service will be at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Omro Cemetery.
