Donald A. Goodacre, age 63, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the U.W. Madison Hospital surrounded by his family after many years of illness. He was born on January 12, 1949 in Fond du Lac, WI, the son of Donald R. and Joyce E. Elmer Goodacre. On June 5, 1971 Don married Kathleen Sawall in Oshkosh. Don was employed at Hoffmaster for 31 years. He liked playing Bingo, going to Lindas campsite, watching TV, and gardening. Don was a very meticulous man. Don is survived by his loving wife Kathy, of 41 years; four brothers, Mike Goodacre, Jeff Goodacre, Mark (Sue) Goodacre, all of Oshkosh, Scott (Julie) Goodacre of Gladstone, MI; three sisters, Penny Richter of Oshkosh, Tammy Witthuhn of Oxnard, CA, Lorri Sawall of Oshkosh; one nephew, Logan Richter; ten nieces, Tarah Pawicz, Stacy Sawall, Elizabeth, Kristin and Emily Goodacre, Margie Sawall, Brenda (John) Vienola, Tammy (Jack) Smith, Tracy (Howie) Hientzelmeier, and Crystal Schmitt; two great nieces, Victoria and Shyanne Pawicz; two great nephews, Vincent and Sage Pawicz; sister-in-law, Charlotte (Charlie) Terrio; brother-in-law, Ralph (special friend Linda) Sawall; and special friends Chieko and Ted. Don was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a sister-in-law, Sharon Sawall.Funeral services will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Randall King officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dons name would be appreciated. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.Thank you to Dr. Edward Lake and all the Da Vita Staff and nurses at dialysis. A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses in Madison and Oshkosh who took care of Don and especially to Dr. Steven Blaha who treated and cared for both Don and Kathy for years as if they were his own family.
