Donald G. Kildsig, age 85 of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Bethel Home. He was born in Oshkosh on July 27, 1937 to the late Elwood and Germaine (Kading) Kildsig. He married Jacquelyn “Jackie” Troxell on August 13, 1960 and had two children.
Donald served at Fort Lewis Washington with the United States Army National Guard from 1961-1962. In 1965 he graduated from the Oshkosh Technical Institute with a degree in marketing, and in 1973 received a certificate of apprentice as a converting mechanic from Fox Valley Technical Institute. He worked at Kimberly Clark for 40 years. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
Donald enjoyed his morning breakfasts at Hardee’s, and seeing all the nice people, especially Bob, his special door handler.
Donald is survived by his wife, Jackie Kildsig; children: Janet (Jeffrey) Ray and Donald (Kathleen) Kildsig; grandchildren: Joshua (Alicia) Ray, Jessica (Mitch) Ryan, Elaine (Goktug Tas) Kildsig and Ellen (Jacob Muehlbauer) Kildsig; great grandchildren: Amelia and Sawyer Ray, and Brody and Bella Ryan. He is further survived by his brother-in-law: James Troxell Jr; sister-in-law: Sue Kildsig; nieces: Jody, Kris, Sherry, Holly and Kim.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother: David Kildsig; father- and mother-in-law: James and Edna Troxell.
A funeral service for Donald will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave. with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be set up for Compassus Hospice as well as St. Andrew’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
The Kildsig family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Compassus Hospice, and a special thank you to Danielle and Rebecca for the loving care provided to Donald during his final days.
