Donald H Partyka

Donald H. Partyka, age 90, of Oshkosh, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born on July 24, 1927 in Ironwood, Michigan, a son of John and Julia (Pecara) Partyka. On April 19, 1952 he married Alice Johnson. They recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. She survives.
Don was a veteran of the United States Army, serving one year in Japan and again one year in the Korean War.
He worked at the Montreal Mine in northern Wisconsin. After the mine closed, he moved with his family to Oshkosh in 1968. He then worked for Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac as a tool and die maker.
He was a member of St. Raphael’s Church and a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed walking and was an avid mall walker.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter Diane (Paul) Bednarek, one granddaughter Nicole Bednarek, a sister-in-law Marilyn Partyka, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, Stella Vittone, Florian Partyka, and infant siblings John and Josephine.
His family wishes to thank Dr. Duffy and his staff at Aurora for the care given to him during the last years.
