Donald James Oneil

Donald J. ONeil 53 of Oshkosh, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, on Monday May 28, 2007. Don was born in Oshkosh on July 30, 1953, a son of Donald and Janet Stadler ONeil. Don was a graduate of Oshkosh High School in 1972, and married his high school sweetheart, Kay Nolan on September 23, 1972. Father of three children; Becky (Ross) Resop, Ryan (special friend Lea Delabrue), and Randy (fiancee Erika Payne); his K-9 Girls Gizmo, Tahoe, and Daisy Duke and grand pups Jake and Chevy. He is survived by his wife, children, his brother Daniel (Dianne), his mother Janet, sister and brother in law Carol and Steve Gauger, nieces Michelle ONeil, Leslie (Tom) Fuller, Wendy (Mike) Duprey, Jessie Gauger; and great nephews, Eli, Caleb, Baby Gage and great niece Maddie; also many more relatives and several great and close friends. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Abigail Jean, his father Donald, sister-in-law Peggy ONeil, grandparents, and in-laws. Don was a die hard Packer fan. He and his daughter & best friend Becky, attended at least three home games and one game out of state. He and his son Ryan enjoyed reenacting for WWII, and were in the process of restoring a 1947 Jeep Willys. Randy and Don shared the joy of motorcycles. The two of them took a class together and would enjoy bike rides. Prior to Don getting sick, he was an avid fast pitch pitcher. He played up to year 2000, playing with several local teams such as Evil Roy Slades, Nigls Chieftain and Winro Golf Course, to name a few. Also prior to getting sick, he enjoyed bowling. He bowled on a league with his daughter Becky and son Randy. On Sept. 17, 2002, he bowled his first 300 game, ending in a 755 series. Memorial services will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Saturday June 2, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Koenig officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM to the time of the service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.
