Donald L. Krasavage, age 82, passed away on Thursday, November 02, 2017 peacefully, surrounded by loving family, at his home in Oshkosh, WI. He was born on February 6, 1935 to the late Joseph and Isabel (Sigmund) Krasavage in Stevens Point, WI. Don joined the United States Army in 1953 – 1956 during the Korean war. He married the love of his life, Vivian Holmes, on February 9, 1957 in Hancock, WI. He spent part of his working career as a lumber inspector for Swanke Lumber Company in Ladysmith, WI. Donald was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing; especially with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed a variety of activities including, gardening, painting, attending auctions and was an avid coin collector. He was a history buff and was loved for his dry and witty sense of humor.
Donald is survived by his wife, Vivian; three sons, Steven (Erika) Krasavage, Mike ( Dawn Inda) Krasavage, Eric (Maitland McConnel) Krasavage; three daughters, Corine (Justin) Gengo, Donna (David) Rucker, Jennifer Ruppel; eleven grandchildren, Victoria, Brandon, Nickolas, Alexandra, Benjamin, and Jackson Krasavage, Sam Gengo, Ian and Elise Rucker, Mackenzie Ruppel, and Nicole Brown. He is further survived by two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by brother, Richard Krasavage, infant son, Joseph Krasavage, and son-in-law Martin “Skip” Ruppel.
A service for Donald will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Konrad-Behlman Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave). Father Matthew Rappl will be officiating the service. A visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service. A burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
