Donald L Mathe

Donald L. Blackie Mathe, 77 of Oshkosh died Thursday June 28, 2007 at his home. He was born in Oshkosh on November 19, 1929 the son of Anton and Mary Baier Mathe. He married Shirley A. Duford on August 18, 1951 in Oshkosh.Don was employed by Rockwell International for 42 years. He was the Secretary of the Rockwell Retirees Golf League at Westhaven Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mathe of Oshkosh, two sons, David (Peggy) Mathe of Arlington Heights, IL and James (Cindy) Mathe of Oshkosh, a daughter, Mitzie Mathe of Oshkosh, a brother, Tony (Katie) Mathe of Oshkosh, five grandchildren, Stephanie Mathe, Keegan Mathe, Sarah Otradovec Jill Otradovec, and Amanda (Dan) Niesen, and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Lorretta Perry and Betty Lemiesz.Family services will be in private.The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care given Don by Dr. Karen Gremminger and her staff, and to the Affinity Hospice.When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room.
