Donald Lyle Gehrke

Donald L. Gehrke, age 84, of Oshkosh, died Thursday January 1, 2015 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. He was born on April 24, 1930 in Omro a son of Frederick and Cleo Morenus Gehrke.He was a veteran of the United States Navy, was a truck driver for Lee Beverage, and worked at Bethel Home. He had lived at Riverwatch Condos in Oshkosh before recently moving to the King Veterans Home.He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Richard(Poppy) Hertzberg, Loretta Strehlow, Mary Jo(Reed) Winkenwerder, Thomas(Lori)Gehrke, Lise(Steve) Gehrke Griese, Franz Gehrke, Maxim(Christine) Gehrke, Jules Gehrke, Nina(Fred) Look Derr, and one sister-in-law Jean Gehrke.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Francis, Frederick, and two sisters Laverna June Swisher and Adrenna Jane Martin, along with other nieces and nephews.A memorial service for Donald will be held on Saturday January 10, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Full Military honors will be performed following the memorial service. A memorial has been established.
