Dorothy C Harron

December 18, 1910 — September 4, 2014

Dorothy Harron Dorothy C. Harron, age 103, of Oshkosh, died on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born on December 18, 1910 in the Town of Poygan to Albert and Ethel Parsons. She attended Eureka Grade School and graduated from Omro High School. In 1929 Dorothy married the one true love of her life, Clem Harron, at St Vincents Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Dorothy was admired for her modesty, dignity and class. She was respected for her concern for others, was loved by her family and friends and returned that love with a warm heart.Dorothy relished her early role as wife, mother, and homemaker, was noted for her sewing skills and in ensuing years, enjoyed the companionship of co-workers at the Miles Kimball offices where she worked during Christmas Seasons. In her later years she continued to enjoy dining out, shopping, sports on TV and political discussions, but her biggest joy in life revolved around her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Dorothys family was steadfast in the reciprocation of that love. Every effort was made to make every day Mothers Day for our mother.Survivors include a daughter, Janet (Chuck) Aaronson of Oshkosh; sons, Jim Harron of Omro and Dick (Millie) Harron of Oshkosh. She is also survived by twelve grand children, Jill (Randy) Stini, Ann Riese, Brian Harron, Tom (Heide) Harron, Lori (Rick) Halstead, Nancy (Shannon) Rahmlow, Colleen (Jim) Stelmach, Ray (Wendy) Last, John (Julie) Last, Kay (Rick) Stille, Kim (Brad) Brown, Michael (Amy) Last; twenty two great grandchildren, Jason (Jessica) Stini, Natalie, Olivia and Stephanie Harron, Grace and Julia Halstead, Macy and Ben Rahmlow, Brinley and Brody Stelmach, Paul, Dan, Elizabeth, Michelle and Josh Last, Megan and Keon Last, Richie and Sean Stille, Ryan and Jack Brown, Connor Last and one great great grandson Crew Stini. She is further survived by nieces and nephews with close family ties, Chuck (Karen) Parsons of Ripon and Jerry (Sharlene) Parsons of Berlin. Her cordial neighbors at her prior residence at Marian Manor were very important to Dorothy, as were many other valued close friends, as well as the warm relationships she developed over the years with special friends of her children. Dorothy remained in good health and good spirits in her golden years at Evergreen Retirement Community and continued to attend all family events and outings. She was also blessed to love and become loved by an Evergreen Staff that truly came to be extended family to all of us.Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Mike Harron of Chicago, a brother, Ken Parsons and sister-in-law, Alice Parsons of Eureka. Her husband, Clem, the Irishman who was the one and only life-long man of her dreams, referred to Dorothy throughout their life together as his, Sweetest Little Lady. In our hearts we now envision Dorothy returning to Clems arms and once again dancing to their favorite love song, Girl of My Dreams.Love is the sweetness of life.Dorothys family wishes to thank the entire compassionate staff at Evergreen Retirement Community for the loving care and personal attention afforded their mother during her residency as well as their close relationships with our family.
