Dorothy L. Vandersee, 102 of Oshkosh, died Sunday April 5, 2009 at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born in Waupaca County on July 8, 1906 daughter of John and Lydia Medberry Rasmussen. On July 17, 1926 she married Arthur Vandersee in Waupaca. He preceded her in death in 1965.Dorothy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was known for her tatting, cooking, baking, but especially for her gardening. She also enjoyed her card clubs.Surviving are her son, Wilbur (Nancy) Vandersee; granddaughters, Debra Hughes, Kandy Kresal, and Kim (Mark) Green; grandson, Randy (Sandra) Vandersee all of Oshkosh; seven great grandchildren, Michelle (Andrew) Abhold, Heidi (Jered) Schroeckenthaler, Stefanie Green, Nicole Green, Karie Gray, Alexander Vandersee, and Sarah Vandersee; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Rasmussen, and an infant granddaughter.Her funeral will be on Thursday April 9, 2009 at Noon at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home – Eastside with Rev. Marvin Ahlborn officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
