Dorothy M Piotter

Dorothy Mae Piotter, age 90, passed away on Saturday September 14, 2019 at Evergreen. Dorothy was born on April 3, 1929 in Rushford Township, a daughter to the late Charles and Minnie (Streich) Smerling. She married Roger Piotter on October 14, 1950 in Eureka, WI; he preceded her in death on April 11, 1996.
Dorothy taught school in a one room schoolhouse on Knott Rd and was also a homemaker.
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting rugs and heart pouches, reading, going to rummage sales and the occasional casino trip with her girlfriends. She loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Marianne Steger, Carla (Tom) Celichowski, and Ann Webb (Pete); Marietta Malson, Peter Steger, John Blader, Jamie Blader, and Christine (Michael) Husen. Dorothy is further survived by numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by Charles (Patsy) Smerling, Raymond (Joyce) Smerling, Robert (Rosie) Smerling, Ardene (Wilton) Spiegelberg, Evie (Herbert) Tellock, Merle (Ardiss) Smerling, and daughter, Diane Grezs.
A memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) at 1:30 PM with Rev Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will take place at Burdick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
