Dorothy May Fuller went home to be with her Lord & Savior January 5, 2015. Born to the late Rev. William & Rachel (Wright) Long, Sr., preceded in death by brothers William F. Long Jr. and John R. Long. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Wesley D. Fuller, the love of her life to whom she was married to for 62 years, her sisters Colleen Anderson and Jeanne Summerville, and her five children: Steve (Beth) Fuller of Lutz, FL, Cathy (Bill) Holwerda of Sugar Hill, GA, Mike (Julie) Fuller of Green Bay, WI, Scott (Laurie) Fuller of Oshkosh, WI, and Amy (Tim) Robinson of St. Louis, MO, and 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.Dorothy will also leave behind her beloved sister-in-law and kindred spirit, Louise Long, special friends Dorothy Gallangher, Millie & Jane Schmirler, Donna Kott, many beloved church friends, and her precious dog, named Zoe.Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Temple for 68 years. Dorothy served in various areas, but her primary passion was giving to others the joy of music, and after teaching herself how to play the piano at age four, faithfully served as FBTs pianist and organist for 60 years. She also invested herself into countless students whom she taught piano for many years. Her other passions were knitting, playing Words with Friends, having lunch with her girlfriends, and was an avid pet lover.Dorothy was blessed with many gifts, including a wonderful sense of humor that was balanced with godly discernment and wise counsel which she used for the many who came to her with their burdens. But more importantly, Dorothy was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and had an unquenchable desire to know more about Him and Scripture. Her greatest desire was to point others towards her Lord and Savior by living a life of integrity. Her deepest hope is that her family circle of faith legacy will not be broken. Now that Dorothy is in heaven, she wants you to remember and reflect upon the many conversations she had with you about Jesus. If you still have not placed your faith and trust in Him, its time to do so today. Dorothy would greatly rejoice if her funeral helped bring you to faith in Christ! She wants her funeral to be a day of celebration, not mourning!2 Timothy 4:7-87 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 8 And now the prize awaits methe crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of His return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to His appearing. (New Living Translation)Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Temple on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 3 pm with Rev. Daryl Marco officiating.
