Dorothy Peterman

Dorothy Janice Peterman, age 87, of Oshkosh, passed away on October 5, 2024, after a long and wonderful life. Dorothy was born on November 11, 1936, in Appleton to Erwin and Rosalin Schedler.

In 1952, Dorothy met the love of her life, Ron Peterman, and they were married on June 4, 1955, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by Reverend Paul W. Lueders.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for loving and supporting her family. She was a great cook, loved hosting holiday dinners, and never let anyone go hungry. Dorothy was always there to help Ron whenever he needed it without complaints.

She enjoyed many summers camping with family and friends.

She worked in the fraud investigation department for Wisconsin Bell and AT&T until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. 

After retiring, Ron and Dorothy spent many winters relaxing and enjoying the sunshine in Arcadia, Florida.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Rosalin Schedler, a sister, Ardyce Hoewisch, and a niece, Sandra Biegel.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Ron Peterman, her three children: Sharon Smith, Diane (Ellie Kemp) Peterman, and Kathy (Randy) Seiberlich, her grandchildren: Meghan (Chad Pribek) Smith, Jared Smith, and Jason (Jill) Seiberlich, her great-grandchildren: Owen Seiberlich and Quinn Seiberlich.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America to help aid in research.
