Dorothy R. Boettner, 97, of Oshkosh died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Bethel Home. She was born August 25, 1914 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Falk) Neumann. Dorothy married Dr. Roy Boettner on October 10, 1940 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1990.Dorothy was a member of First English Lutheran Church where she was active in many ways, including the Esther Circle. She was also on a charter member of the Bethel Auxiliary, member of the Oshkosh Opti Mrs. Club, Athena Club, and was a Campfire Girls Leader.Survivors include her son, Richard (Kathleen) of Oconomowoc; her brother, Milton Neumann of Oshkosh; a sister, Marion Hartman of Oshkosh; five grand children, Kim (Larry) Kiser-Champlin of San Antonio, Kelly Kiser of Van Dyne, Ryan Boettner of Jupiter, FL, Michael Boettner of Oconomowoc, Timothy Boettner of Greenfield; a great grandson, Dustin Kiser; and her sister-in-law, Grace Boettner of Ellenton, FL. Along with her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter Betty Kiser, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at the Bethel Home Chapel (225 N Eagle Street, Oshkosh) on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain David Rumbold officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to the service time. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Memorials, in Dorothys name, to Bethel Home and First English Lutheran Church would be appreciated.Dorothys family would like to send a special thank you to the Special Care Unit at Bethel Home for their care and compassion.
