Dorothy H. Ruck, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 11, 2014. She was born September 4, 1923 to the late Cecil and Ruth (Schuster) Crowner. Dorothy married Milton Ruck on December 27, 1941 in Oshkosh. Dorothy worked at Miles Kimball Company, and as a cook at the Oshkosh Care Center for several years. She and her husband of over fifty years enjoyed travel and being with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.Survivors include four sons, Gerry Ruck, Tom (Diane) Ruck, Richard (Diane) Ruck, Don Ruck; one sister Ruth Ann Tootie Nigl; nine grandchildren, Dan, Becky, Jeff, Beth, Kerry, Kevin, Andrew, Adam, and Sol; and six great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Emily, Jonathon, Drew, Nolan and Bryn.In addition to her parents and husband Milton, she was preceded in death by brother George Crowner, three sisters, Loretta Nigl, Joyce Potter, and Mary McCarthy, and one great-grandson David.Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Peters Catholic Church, from 9 am until the Mass of Christian burial at 11 am, with Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park following the mass.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. We would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Century Oaks and Hospice, and especially to Sandy Walth who made her last few months enjoyable and her last few days comfortable.
