Alfred T. Kisubi, 69, Oshkosh, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was born July 7, 1949.
Kisubi began his career at UW Oshkosh in 1992 and completed his doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1993 . Kisubi provided considerable support to international students and was well-loved by the immigrant community for his help with everything from a ride to translating documents. Kisubi also will be remembered for his love for poetry and working with disabled communities.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Susan; children: Alfred Kisubi; Ereth Muwanika, Moses Taligoola, Kasega K. Anita, Kisambira Moses, and Namugabo Immaculate.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Richard Igaga.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Avenue, Oshkosh, and again on Sunday, January 6, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 311 Division Street, Oshkosh. The Office of Christian Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Chris Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Dr. Alfred Kisubi Scholarship Fund at the University. Checks may be made payable to the Dr. Alfred Kisubi Scholarship.
